Dr. Daniel Lee Cassis was born in Charleston, West
Virginia. He attended West Virginia University where he graduated
with honors in Chemistry and went on to Medical School at the same
university. After becoming a doctor, he moved to Miami, Florida to
do his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine, followed by
his Fellowship in Cardiology both at the University of Miami. After
completing all his studies Dr. Cassis was invited to join a
prestigious and established cardiology practice in Miami and he
decided to stay.
In private practice since 1980, Dr Cassis was associated with the
prestigious Miami Heart Institute for 20 years, where he also served
as President of the Medical Staff. In the year 2000, Mount Sinai
Medical Center of Miami Beach took over the well known Miami Heart
Institute and he now sees his patients at Mt Sinai in Miami Beach as
well as at Aventura Hospital in Aventura, Florida (a suburb of
Miami).
